| Rebecca wishes her sleep schedule was more regular. Rebecca is not very good at keeping a regular sleep schedule. | |
However this past summer, she developed very good habits. She woke up early most morning for her job or to go hiking. She rarely stayed awake past 10. Her life was so physically demanding, that it was difficult to go without sleep. She got eight hours almost every night. “I got so used to getting up early I couldn’t sleep in. I remember one weekend morning I tried to sleep in. I got up, went into the kitchen for breakfast, and it was 8:30!” Rebecca tried to keep the same schedule when she came back to school, but the transition has been difficult. Lots of work has forced Rebecca to stay up late on several occasions. This has grown into a habit of staying up late working in the studio. |

It has become increasingly harder for Rebecca to wake up in the morning and she feels tired during the day. She is not getting eight hours of sleep a night. “Its hard to make myself go to bed early when I feel like I have so much work to do. Night is when I get the most done because during the day I am busy with class, work, meeting, errands. I can’t go home until I feel like I really accomplished something; which keeps me in the studio late.” While Rebecca wishes her sleep schedule was more regular, it is much better than it has been in the past. “Even though its not perfect like it was this summer, it is so much better than it has been. I think I have retained some of my good habits from the summer.” |
